A History of Cuerdas Clásicas
Cuerdas Clásicas is a not-for-profit organization with the attributes of troubadours and bohemians who at times present themselves with tuxedos to interpret melodies of semi-classical nature. In their other appearance as members of an estudiantina , the attire is Spanish as well used in the 16th century with the purpose of promoting art culture.
The organization is composed of individuals with artistic appreciation whose objective is to promote the Mexican and Spanish heritage in the form of music. Converting into satire the quirks of society and the community in general. Like men of the twentieth century, they aspire to the elevation of the human spirit to its maximum potential, without forgetting their Hispanic heritage. They manage to extract the best of the National (Mexican) and international music and masterpieces of music.
The founder of the organization is Rodolfo Hernandez , who in the year 1976, gathered together a group of youths whose only medium was their instruments and their desire to elevate the arts. These youngsters propelled themselves with their mandolins and guitars and romantic melodies and demonstrated their capacities and professionalism.
The expansion of the group on a cultural level has achieved with various television interviews, two first prize awards in artistic competition, two reviews as the best cultural instrumental group, and five records, and the acceptance of the general public.
The group replaces those members who must leave the other enthusiastic members whose only reward in completing their artistic responsibilities is the satisfaction of promoting this extraordinary musical culture.
Being conscious of the importance of conserving the culture, its members unselfishly and willingly accept the responsibility of conserving Cuerdas Clásicas.
